Welcome to Systers!
Filipinas in Computing, (FilipinasIC) is a community of Systers of AnitaB.Org. We bring together Filipina women in the technology industry, women who have an interest in tech, who work in tech, or studying in areas of computing science or STEM. Our goal is to promote the success of Filipina women in the industry, raise awareness of issues faced by Filipinas in tech and especially to celebrate their success.
We generally meet at the yearly Grace Hopper Conference. We also foster small meetups in locations where Filipinas in tech are located. We also promote online conversations about your challenges, coping mechanisms, and successes, fostering friendships and mentorships, creating an environment of support, promoting leadership and professional development and encouraging diversity by promoting and encouraging Filipinas to enter this professional area. This is the space for Filipinas to connect, share best practices and to inspire one another.

Community Lounge: Filipinas in Computing

Visit the Community Lounge to meet and join AnitaB.org Local Communities and Systers Groups. Meet Community and Systers leaders and members who will share valuable insights about their groups including events, activities and networking opportunities. Volunteers will be on hand to help GHC 23 attendees join a Local Community or Systers Group on the spot! This Community Longe is hosted by Systers Leader Meriam Gay Bautista.
